Main Camp at Harbor Hills offers campers a wide array of exciting activities to engage their enthusiasm and curiosity. From Sports to Aquatics and Outdoor Adventure to the Creative and Performing Arts, campers develop their skills under the supervision of our outstanding staff of counselors, specialists and coaches. So often we hear campers say, "That was awesome!" At Harbor Hills, campers thrive! It's no surprise to us that at Harbor Hills campers grow... inside and out! On the outside, you'll see laughter, fun, and determination. On the inside, campers blossom under the instruction and guidance of our dedicated staff – gaining a deep and lasting sense of competence and confidence. As campers grow, so do the program choices they have. This creates an amazing phenomenon – campers feel at home year after year and, at the same time, they know there will be new challenges and opportunities to expand their skills and engage their energy. Aquatics
The Harbor Hills Swim Program is renowned as a model of excellence for helping campers safely increase their confidence and competence in the water. Under the supervision of our staff which is specially trained under the auspices of the American Red Cross as Water Safety Instructors, campers thrive mastering various strokes and skills. Parents love knowing that their child(ren) are learning this important life skill and successfully navigating themselves in the water while enjoying all the fun that kids should experience in the water during the summer.
Sports
Harbor Hill campers enjoy a sports program that is designed for their success. Each sport area is run by a coach/specialist who supervises and instructs the activity in a strategic way to insure success for each camper. Campers participate in age appropriate games that help fuel a sense of accomplishment. Our cutting edge facility includes state of the art fields and courts that are specially designed to be age appropriate so that campers can participate fully in a way that promotes success. No matter what the venue – the field, the court or the rink, your child will experience a sense of mastery and achievement. Our melding of facility, curriculum and coaching helps make the Harbor Hills Sports Program one of the finest in day camping!
Creative and Preforming Arts
At Harbor Hills, campers of all ages have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of creative and performing arts activities. Using their imagination campers have multiple opportunities to learn more about their creativity. Our arts program includes crafts, ceramics, jewelry, lanyard, and painting. Under the supervision and leadership of a qualified specialist, campers are encouraged and guided to learn more about the creative aspect of their being while mastering carefully selected projects. Performing Arts at Harbor Hills is a spirited activity area! Campers love expressing themselves and regaling each other in song and enjoy the merriment of dancing and drama. Campers third grade and up have the opportunity to be part of the cast of our annual camp play. Days of practice culminate in a Broadway-like performance for fellow camper and parents at our first class theater venue. It is a magnificent sight to behold and always a performance to remember!
Outdoor Adventure
Climbing to the top of the wall... zipping through the air... bouncing to the sky... taking a curve on a world class go cart track... All of this happens for our campers at Harbor Hills. It's all about Adventure and our first class venues of fun help our campers discover their courage and build their confidence. Our authentic Rock Climbing Wall; amazing Bungee Trampoline and first class Go Carts propel campers to a level of excitement, exhilaration and fun that lead to self discovery, skill development and confidence in a way that leave campers saying, "When can I do that again?"
Creative Play
Campers engage their boundless energy in exploring the many creative play areas that are part of the daily program at Harbor Hills. Using their imaginations, campers explore, build and create a fun filled world of excitement. Using their curiosity and interests, campers learn the joys of creative play as they enhance their social skills and strengthen their bodies. The Harbor Hills creative play areas are much more than playgrounds. Each area has been strategically designed to provide an outstanding and engaging experience.
